Teachers are automatically assigned to classrooms that they create. School, district and customer administrators who create classrooms on behalf of teachers must take the additional step of assigning teachers to classrooms. Teachers are be unable to add, edit and view students for a classroom or manage classroom settings until they are assigned to the classroom. Once an administrator has successfully created a classroom, the page will refresh and provide the ability to assign teachers.
Teachers are not required to be assigned at the time a classroom is created. School, district and customer administrators can manage teacher assignments at any time by editing a classroom from the Classes page.
Assigning teachers to classrooms can also be accomplished via CSV upload and combined with several other actions to expedite getting started.
Click the green + to move a teacher from the Available Teachers column to the Selected Teachers column. Alternatively, click and drag the teacher from the Available Teachers column to the Selected Teachers column. Once a teacher appears in the Selected Teachers column, the teacher has been assigned to the classroom.
To unassign a teacher from the classroom, click the red x or click and drag a teacher from the Selected Teachers column back to the Available Teachers column.
